PS189M Program Model 1A

We continue to work diligently to develop a re-opening plan that focuses on safety, health and maintaining academic rigor, using the guidelines set forth by the New York City Department of Education to ensure a safe return to school for all students and staff. Whichever the learning preference you have chosen, it is the right decision for your family, and we will educate your child and meet his/her academic and emotional needs in-person and virtually.

Model 1A – This model consists of two in-person groups (Group A & Group B) and one 100% remote only group (Group D)

  • Group D will attend 100% remote learning Monday thru Friday

  • Group A will attend in-person every Tuesday & Thursday and participate in remote learning Wednesday & Friday

  • Group B will attend in-person every Wednesday & Friday and participate in remote learning Tuesday & Thursday

  • Group A and B will rotate in-person attendance on Mondays. On the Monday they do not participate in person they must participate remotely (Calendars will be shared at a later date)

· When Group A and B are not attending in-person learning they must participate in remote learning

Art Gallery

Welcome to P.S.189M, Magnet School of Inquiry and Expression art gallery! In this art gallery, we want to showcase our students' and parents' artwork!

Our students and parents have been using their artistic energy during this time of remote learning and creating amazing art pieces and projects. Parents and students please make sure to check the "Specials Calendar," especially on Fridays for art activities. Please if you haven't done so already, share your photos of your artwork to Ms. Trabal at TrabalYvonne@ps189m.net
