Summer Enrichment Resources

It is widely understood that on average students lose academic ground during the summer, a phenomenon frequently referred to as “summer learning loss” or “summer slide.”  Below, you will find valuable resources put together by our PS189M teachers to support continuous learning throughout the summer break.

Remote Learning

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, PS189M has created this Remote Learning page to facilitate learning for all of our students and families

Art Gallery

Welcome to P.S.189M, Magnet School of Inquiry and Expression art gallery! In this art gallery, we want to showcase our students' and parents' artwork!

Our students and parents have been using their artistic energy during this time of remote learning and creating amazing art pieces and projects. Parents and students please make sure to check the "Specials Calendar," especially on Fridays for art activities. Please if you haven't done so already, share your photos of your artwork to Ms. Trabal at

Remote Learners

Our PS189M students continue their dedication towards learning from home.  They have accepted this new way of learning and have demonstrated that nothing can stand in their way of learning.

They are bright, energetic and determined.  Continuouss learning has become an integral part of their lives and these pictures are prove of that.

Thank you for visiting.

PS189M is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone. Whilst PS189M strives to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.

If you have any comments and or suggestions relating to improving the accessibility of our site, please don't hesitate to contact our school by phone or e-mail. Your feedback will help us make improvements.
